Fwd: Senior Boys Soccer

----- Original Message -----

The senior boys soccer team beat the Leamington Lions 4-1 yesterday to advance to the semi-finals.

Roberto Estimabile opened the scoring with a beautiful right footed volley from about 20 yards out.

The Lions tied it up shortly after.

Muntadher Al-Rabeeah placed a beautifully taken free kick just inside the right post to regain the lead.

The Lions roared back but were held off by a very timely and pivotal save by Martin Aqrawi in the second half to secure the lead.

Despite steady pressure, our defense held firm thanks in part to the excellent play of Martin Nissan.

We then countered with a classy 'sombrero' finsh by Awjen Alias.

Finally, we closed the scoring with Abel Keflay who was able to dribble his way past the goalie and a defender for a highlight reel goal.

Other notable performances were put forth by Giordano Oglan and Stev Aqrawi who terrorized the high praised Leamington defense with
2 minutes of merciless pressure ;)

The boys will play their semi-final on Monday May 16th at 4pm - the opponent and location are yet to be determined.
