senior boys soccer - monday may 15

The senior boys soccer team's modest win streak came to a sudden halt Thursday afternoon on the field at Riverside.  It was not from a lack of effort as the boys truly "left it all" on the field but suffered the short end of a 5-2 score.  The coaches and players would like to thank the fans, both teachers and students, for the tremendous support shown by their presence at the last couple of games.  It did not go unnoticed!

We wish also, the best of luck to the Junior Boys team in their upcoming game(s) on Monday in the hope of maintaining the long standing soccer tradition here at CCH.

senior boys soccer - wednesday may 10th

The senior boys soccer team won their opening playoff game, defeating L'Essor by a score of 4 to 1.

Leading the way offensively was Danny "The Chicken" Crosby with 2 goals.  Awjen Alias and San Al Jbori also scored.

Jarrid Ouellette continued his steady play in net and almost secured a shutout.

Despite the late goal, the team played very well defensively and will have to continue to do so tomorrow at Riverside at 3:30pm in order to defeat the rival Rebels who defeated us in last year's playoff.

Thank you to those who attended yesterday's game. The boys really appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you at the Riverside game.

DanceFest Results

The Comets Dance Team travelled to The St. Clair Centre for the Arts over the last four days to compete in Dancefest 2017.  Even though our team did not place, they danced well, and were given praise from other local schools' dance teachers.  Our dancers also took part in two workshops that were led by professional dancers, and our very own Meena Alzebari and Kalala Kambambi were picked to present their workshop pieces at the Saturday night showcase.
Mrs. Naccarato would like to thank the dancers that participated, and who represented our school in a positive manner.  She would also like to thank all of the staff and students who have contributed to the teams' fundraising efforts over the last few months.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated.  A big shout out to Mathew Pellarin for all of his time and technical talents in creating our mash-up mix for the competition.  Thank you to Mrs. Fantin for moderating the team for practices, and for her time this entire weekend.  Thank you to Mrs. Laport for all of her time organizing our funds and cabs for the competition.  And a very important thank you to Mrs. Farrand for supporting this new crew and for helping us make this weekend an experience these students will never forget.

To all students, if you are serious about being a part of the dance team for next school year, there will be pre-auditions taking place in early June.  All students are invited to try-out.  Stay tuned for more announcements in weeks to come.
